The deCogan Signature Cocktail

The Components of Heritage

• 2 Measures Tanqueray London Dry Gin (The English Roots)
• 1 Measure Monkey Shoulder or Haig Scotch Whisky (The Scottish Heritage)
• 1 Measure Orange Curaçao (Nod to our orange trees)
• 3 Dashes Angostura Aromatic Bitters
• Top with Premium Chilled Ogeu Lemonade (Nod to our lemon trees)
• 1 tsp deCogan Hive or Local Wildflower Honey (The Golden Base)
• 2 Flowers Fresh Blue Borage (Plucked from the garden)

The Ritual

Combine the Tanqueray, Scotch, Orange Curaçao, Angostura bitters, and 2 fresh borage flowers in a cocktail shaker. Add exactly two ice cubes and shake vigorously to chill without over-diluting.

Strain cleanly into a chilled martini glass, leaving the ice behind. Pour in the chilled Ogeu Lemonade near to the top. To finish, take a teaspoon of honey and gently dribble it straight down into the center, allowing it to settle into the small conical base of the glass to showcase a beautiful 1cm layer of golden honey.

Place the borage flowers from the shaker onto the top of the cocktail.
