The Process

The deCogan Process Our process is designed around your needs, whether you are looking for Executive English Coaching or Immersion English. Executive English Coaching 1. Initial consultation We establish who the coaching is for and what you want to achieve. Executive English Coaching can be arranged for you personally or for one of your team members. 2. Assessment and objective setting If the coaching is for you: Agree NDA for assessment phase — Sign a non-disclosure agreement for the assessment and objectives. Objectives and Assessment Meeting — We meet with you to discuss the objectives and aims of the coaching. We assess your current levels of communication, referencing your aims and objectives. If the coaching is for a team member: We establish whether you would like to define the aims and objectives with your team member present. If you want to discuss the objectives together: Agree NDA for assessment phase — Sign a non-disclosure agreement for the assessment and objectives. Objective Setting Meeting — We meet to discuss the objectives and aims of the coaching with both you and your team member. Level Assessment Meeting — We hold an assessment meeting with your team member to gauge their overall levels of communication, vocabulary, and any other aspects relevant to the established objectives. If you want to discuss the objectives privately: Manager Objective Setting Meeting — We meet with you to discuss the objectives and aims of the coaching for your team member. Level Assessment Meeting — We hold an assessment meeting with your team member to gauge their overall levels of communication, vocabulary, and any other aspects relevant to the established objectives. 3. Review of assessment Following the assessment, you can choose how the findings are reviewed. Review meeting: Review of Assessment — We run through the assessment findings, highlighting areas that may require more or less coaching focus. For a team member where both the manager and team member have been involved, we run through the assessment findings with both of you. Email review: Review of Assessment via Email — A report of the assessment findings is shared via email, highlighting areas that may require more or less coaching focus. 4. Contract and scheduling Once the assessment process is complete: Provide Contract — We provide the contract for approval. Schedule Coaching — Agree on dates to begin coaching. Immersion English 1. Establish your aims and objectives We begin by understanding what you want to achieve through Immersion English. You can choose between: General improvement Assessment & Leveling — Establish baseline proficiency. Specific objectives and focus areas Discuss Objectives & Aims — Discuss your objectives for immersion English, including specific aims and focus areas. Assessment & Leveling — Establish baseline proficiency against your specific aims and focus areas. 2. Review of assessment Following the assessment, you can choose whether you would like a specific review session. Review meeting: Review of Assessment — We run through the assessment findings, highlighting areas that may require more or less coaching focus. Where you have specific objectives and focus areas, we run through the assessment findings with you, highlighting areas that may require more or less coaching focus based on your desired objectives and aims. Email review: Review of Assessment via Email — A report of the assessment findings is shared via email, highlighting areas that may require more or less coaching focus. Where you have specific objectives and focus areas, the report highlights areas that may require more or less coaching focus based on your desired objectives and aims. 3. Booking Once the assessment process is complete: Provide Contract — We provide the contract for approval. Schedule Coaching — Agree on dates for coaching and make reservations. A personalised process The exact sequence depends on your requirements, whether you are arranging Executive English Coaching for yourself, arranging coaching for a team member, or looking for Immersion English with general or specific objectives. The process is designed to establish your objectives, assess your current level, review the assessment findings with you where appropriate, and then finalise the arrangements for your coaching.
